Overview of What Styles, Levels, and Materials We Teach

What Does John Teach?

John has been teaching all levels of guitar for over 30 years in the Denver metro area and maintains an average of 65 students per week during the six days a week that he teaches.  Feeling equally at home playing and teaching finger style, John teaches Classical, Rock, Flamenco, Country, Blues, Celtic, and Jazz.  John also teaches theory, composition, and ear training.  Arranging chord and melody guitar solos is another service that John offers.  He can teach you the art of doing the same if you desire to arrange for chord and melody.  For special projects where you are interested in playing a song but you can not find suitable or accurate tabs, John has the ability to transcribe a song into tab for you.  John loves teaching students of all levels age 8 and up.

What Does Candace Teach?

Candace has been teaching all levels of flute for over 16 years, and has been teaching guitar from beginning through strong intermediate levels for 14 years.  She majored in flute and music education at Western State College in Gunnison Colorado.  She maintains around 40 guitar and 10 flute students per week.  On guitar she feels equally at home playing arpeggio finger style or playing with a pick.  On flute Candace teaches well rounded lessons and is familiar with all of the common methods that band directors recommend.  She has helped numerous students prepare for auditions at middle school level through college level.  Generally speaking, Candace will teach private lessons to students age 8 and up.
