Go to "Market" and find these wonderful free apps: Mobile Metronome, gStrings (chromatic tuner), Solo Lite (strum guitar chords on your phone), Basic Chords (chord dictionary), Four Tracks Lite (4 track recording program for a phone!), and Chordbot (just type in your chord progression/choose a style, and now you have a band in your phone to jam to). We have Android phones but please send us your favorite iPhone Apps and we'll be happy to post them.
